Spraypaint a stencil birthday card

Salutation,
here is a small abstract on how to create a special spraypaint birthday card with a self-made stencil.

What do we need:
» vectorizable-worth images
» paper+paperboard, cutter, cans of desired colors
» repositionable adhesive (important)
» good mood & patience, patch for the dilettantes

What have I done:
1. vectorized and rearranged the desired images
2. printed an outline-verison on white paper
3. fixate it with the adhesive to the paperboard
4. spend around 3 hours to cut it (depending on detail and size of your image)
5. separating the white print from the paperboard again
6. Stencil done *whohoo

Creating the card:
1. Create a nice background for your stencil (girls often like pink!)
2. Cover your card with your previously made stencil and punch color through it

SPSC 001
Wow - doesn’t look as bad as I imagined as my first attempt.
SPSC 002
Added a couple more individual details to it and tryed
to cover the gift with the final product :D
SPSC 003
Voila, mission accomplished. Sparkling eyes and
a extra steady hug is garanteed.

Hello folks!
This is the first regular K2L-Blogpost. So say “horray” to this new blog first. HORRAY!

I found this awesome post about the workflow of Bruno “Nox” Gore on conceptart some days ago. On some of the screenshots out of the buyable workshop, you may see the photoshop swatches palette, the artist is using. A palette in color wheel arangement is really a great idea. Most of the standard palettes in photoshop are arranged very illogical for digital painting, except of visibone perhaps. But in fact, the palette of Nox is a little bit to big and have a lot of redudant repeating colors. So we build a new one. A little one, with a lot of colors. Really colorful. You can download it here. Enjoy!
